Film Screening (Canberra): The Trials of Spring

YWILPF in Canberra is presenting a film screening of The Trials of Spring, follows by a talk by Professor Hilary Charlesworth.

The film screening will be followed by a talk by Professor Hilary Charlesworth titled ‘UNSCR 1325 at 15: How can we measure its success?’ Hilary Charlesworth is an ARC Laureate Fellow and Director of the Centre for International Governance and Law. She researches and teaches on human rights and the United Nations system.

About the film:

From the team behind the award winning documentary Pray the Devil Back to Hell comes The Trials of Spring, a major documentary event that chronicles of the stories of nine women who played central roles in the Arab Spring uprisings and their aftermaths in Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Bahrain and Yemen.
